A score sheet is more than a record of winners. It is a shared reference for entry values, penalties, bonuses, and running totals. Whether you play at home or use a digital table that displays scores automatically, understanding a clear recording method helps prevent avoidable confusion.

Before the first deal, write the player names in a fixed order. Note the format, point value, and any maximum score or drop rule. Different tables can use different conventions, so never rely on memory from another game. If a house rule changes how an invalid declaration or drop is scored, write it down before anyone starts.

After each round, record the result immediately. Enter the points assigned to each player, not merely the name of the winner. If the rules use a cap, show both the raw amount and the applied amount when practical. Mark an invalid declaration, a voluntary drop, or a special bonus with a short label. This makes later review possible without reconstructing the whole hand.

Use one row per round and keep arithmetic visible. Add the new score to the previous total with a calculator or a second check when stakes or a long session make mistakes costly. A second player should confirm unusual entries, especially when several players finish with different combinations. Corrections should be made with a single strike-through and initials rather than silently erasing the old value on paper.

Digital notes deserve the same care. At the end, read the totals aloud and ask whether every player agrees. Archive or delete the sheet according to your privacy preference, particularly if names are connected to accounts.
